2016 is shaping up to be a banner year in Toronto with extremely special events (we recently welcomed the NBA All-Star Weekend) and returning favourites from grand art installations, global sports events, and major milestones, such as the CN Tower’s 40th anniversary.
Toronto has attractions your kids won’t want to miss. From exciting sports and cultural and scientific wonders, to treats and eats that everyone can enjoy. Throughout March Break, Toronto will be filled with activities and events where residents and visitors can cherish time with the whole family. From special exhibits to day and week-long camps, stay entertained with all Toronto has to offer families this March Break.
With spectacular shows, countless shopping opportunities, outdoor skating rinks and top-notch restaurants, Toronto transforms into an urban winter wonderland and a great getaway during the holiday season.
Toronto is gearing up for exciting events this season with the anticipation of infrastructure completion at Union Station and many of Toronto’s streets and the opening of brand-new tourist attractions all in preparation for the Pan Am and ParaPan Am Games.
Toronto set new records in tourism by welcoming 14.3 million overnight visitors in 2014. Key drivers were a fourth consecutive year of growth in visitors from the U.S. and the highest number of overseas visitors ever in the destination. Additionally, Toronto led the country in hotel occupancy and hotel room nights sold.
